abaca is a banana plant fiber imported from the Philippines and is most regularly used for the making of tea bags. Each sheet of paper is hand-pulled and varies in weight. this paper has a smooth texture that's perfect for writing, drawing, and calligraphy, water-based and oil painting, paper crafting, and other printing techniques including woodcut, engraving, etching, lithography, letterpress, foiling, and silkscreen. bundles are tied with waxed linen thread and are enclosed in a biodegradable sleeve. available in 4x6", 6x9", and 8.5x11" packs.
